Back in the Day

One of my coworkers and I were talking about people we'd dated back in the day. It was an interesting talk and got me thinking about some things. We were also talking about high school in general, and I came to a strange realization. Both Shawn and I married the women that were in our senior pictures. Shawn took a much more direct route than I did in that he just married Chloe straight out without any breaks in their relationship. As for Sy and I, it was a little more convoluted but it all worked out in the end. Weird how that happened. Let this be a warning to the rest of you, be careful who you are photographed with. Maybe if you kids are really nice, I'll post those pictures somewhere and you can marvel at our stunning good looks and fashion sense. If nothing else, it gives me a chance to embarass myself, which is always a good thing.

High school. What a weird time for all of us I imagine. In all honesty though, I wouldn't change anything about my past. It's made me who I am today, for good or bad, and I fear that I wouldn't know some of you as well as I do if things were different. All of you were there for me when I needed you most, regardless of when that was, and I must thank you for that and apologize for my not necessarily being there when you needed me. I love you all and thank you.
