The struggle continues.....

I really have no idea why this is so hard to keep up with. Maybe I just need to take some of the pressure off and make this more of a bi-weekly update schedule while allowing myself to post if something cool happens. But really, does this blog really needs rules? I'll think on it.

Anyway, I've been being a good boy about working out, and while I need to get in another day or two of cardio a week, I'm doing so much better than I ever have in the past. The weightlifting is going great and I'm really seeing some gains in most of my exercises. I'm not getting huge or anything right now, but I'm really developing some more upper body strength and definition in the shoulders and chest. Now if I could just make the belly disappear, we'd be set. I actually gained ten pounds since I started working out, but I've managed to shave offf about five of that. I'm still weighing in around 255, but I'm feeling better about myself and as it starts to get to be warmer and the days longer, I'm expecting the weight to really start falling off. My wife is really helping me with the healthy eating and I need to just continue what I'm doing.

I wanted to make the announcement that I will be in the midwest from around July 19th to August 1stish. I don't really want to give solid dates, because I don't want to be tied down by them. We'll be spending a good portion of the vacation in the Cedar Rapids area, but we'll try to get to the QC to see some of you and we'll see what we can do as it gets closer.

Aside from the summer vacation, I haven't been up to a whole lot. I went golfing in Livingston last week and it was gorgeous out. There was just the perfect breeze and barely a cloud in the sky. I didn't play altogether bad, but it wasn't my best round. I'm really playing fairly well for this time of year and am hoping to improve as the season continues. I haven't been fly fishing in awhile because of the run off conditions on the rivers, but I'm looking forward to getting back to that soon as well. Basically, I've just been living life and staying out of trouble as best I can. Take care.
