Ah metaphors, they crack my shit up! My past couple of weeks have been just crazy out here. We installed a new computer system at work,which really went quite well, but it's always tough to set up an entirely new way of doing things. The best part that came out of this install was that I got a quasi-job offer from the company rep that was helping us implement the new system. We'll have to see how that goes, but it could be fun.

My wife defends her dissertation tomorrow and while she's completely ready for it, it's still a little nerve-wracking and I'll be glad when it's over. Her thesis was over 440 pages long and set a new departmental record for longest thesis by more than thirty pages! Pretty crazy. We've got a big party planned for tomorrow night and then I've got the next few days off to recover. There's so much more to talk about, but right now I don't have the time. Take care.
