I am a jelly donut!

Wow.....almost two months of ignoring this site. Not good, not good at all. I apologize to anyone who might occasionally check this site to keep up with my world. I have let you down and I'll endeavor to do better in the future. Again, my bad, now let's move on.

Where to begin? Two months is a long time to recap. Let's see...Well, I'm living in Manhattan, KS with my lovely wife and have never been happier. Manhattan has surprised me with how nice the scenery is here, for being in the midwest. Plenty of rolling hills and ravines and bluffs, with trees everywhere. It's not a bad place to be spending the next couple of years, so I take back most bad things I said about KS.

I'm currently enrolled at Kansas State University in their Criminology department for Spring 2009, but I'll be taking a winter intercession course as well. It's in the social construction of serial murderers. I am jacked about it and have already started doing all the reading I can to start the class a little bit ahead since it's only about three weeks long. In the spring I'll be taking about fifteen credits and am kind of nervous about being a full time student since I haven't really been one since high school, and even that is debatable.

I also just found out that I was hired by the Kansas State University Police department as a student dispatcher. It's only sixteen guaranteed hours a week on the weekend evenings, but it works out perfectly with my school schedule and I should make just about enough to pay for my classes. I spoke with my academic advisor the other day and it looks like I'll be able to walk in Spring of 2010 as long as things go according to plan. I'll still have an internship to finish after the graduation ceremonies, but still, pretty exciting! It looks like I might finally get to finish that degree I've been working on for so very long.

On the home front, Sytil is loving her job with the university and it keeps her pretty busy. We are doing wonderful and are even thinking about starting a family soon. No one panic, nothing has been set in stone, but it looks like I might become a father one of these days down the road. Still a scary prospect, but if we're ever going to do this thing we should probably start sooner rather than later. I think that's all I know from this end. I love all of you very much and I hope that you'll forgive me for letting time get away from me there for awhile. I promise to do better and just as a reminder, I do have a myspace page that I'm really good about checking. www.myspace.com/ntymnky
